Many people talk about keeping Christ in Christmas and we know this is important. Here is a great opportunity to put it to action!!!! We are going to throw Jesus a GIANT BIRHTDAY PARTY where we celebrate HIM on HIS DAY!!! (Which is really every day!) To give birthday gifts to Jesus, we need to give Him what He does not have unless we give it to Him. We will give him food, clothing and gifts, since "When you do it unto the least of these, you do it unto Him". We will give Him PRAISE AND WORSHIP for his birthday (please join the choir!!) We will give Him our time, love, loyalty and finances (PLEASE GIVE FINANCIALLY) . Most importantly, we will offer to Him SOULS by sharing His Gospel and giving people an opportunity to respond in FAITH by turning to Him, receiving Him by faith and making a commitment to join the church!
We are also GLORIFYING HIM by UNITING IN THIS CELEBRATION!!! Jesus prayed that we would be united so that the WORLD MAY KNOW HIM (John 17). The amazing thing about God is that He is a Trinity and people see Him more as we function TOGETHER!!! CATHOLICS, BAPTISTS, PENTECOSTALS, INDEPENDENTS, PRESBYTERIANS AND MORE all worshipping together!!! PRAISE GOD! WON'T IT BE WONDERFUL! DO NOT MISS OUT!!
Imagine this.... you are up early and open your gifts with the family.... Then you come down to the stadium serving JESUS together. You bring a pan of macaroni and cheese made with love for JESUS who would be lonely and hungry on this day. You give blanket to JESUS who would be cold on His birthday. You give a bike that you brought for JESUS so He could ride and have fun on His birthday. You give out gifts to baby JESUS who need love and a place!! Thank you go home and eat dinner together and have a TRUE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS about you- the Holy Spirit of LOVE poured out in your heart!! (Ropmans 5:5)
